Mossley AFC Running Club
Welcome to the official Mossley AFC Running Club Website.

     Established in November 2015, we are  a running club of many abilities, from 5ks to Marathons and Ultras.
Tour of Tameside 2018
14th - 17th June 2018
The 4 day event is described as both Physically and Mentally Challenging 

This year there were a record number of runners since the events retun 4 years ago

From Mossley there were 20 Women and 20 Men who ran the whole tour, with other club runners doing some of the individual days

Mossley saw some excellent finishing positons of age grade, overall finishing positions

Helen Gregory, Angela Dewhurst and Amy Shadbolt's over all finishing times resulted in an official prize of 1st Ladies Team for the  event  
Day 3 - Saturday 16th June
After just an overnight recovery the morning starts with the Hero Half Marathon. The 13.1 miles  which starts on Padfield Main Road heads through Hadfield and onto the Longendale Trail. Turning at the 7 mile mark and retutning back along the trail finishing back in the field in Padfield 
Day 2 - Friday 15th June.
Was the night of the 6 mile fell run named Hell on the Fell. The race which starts at WalkerWood Resevoir in Stalybridge, heads up Mottram Road and beyond onto Hobson Moor before its sharp descent finishing at the side of Copley Leisure Centre
Day 1 - Thursday 14th June.
Was the night of the 10K X trail run through Park Bridge in Ashton and finishing in Daisy Nook Country Park

Day 4 - Dr Ron Hyde 7 road race
On the Sunday morning the final race starts outside Hyde Town Hall. With a 3 mile uphill start the race heads up Market Street, turning towards and through Hattersley. With a straight downhill finish the race finishes where it started outside the Town Hall.
